It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helen G. (Gansor) Mekal (Granby, Massachusetts), who passed away on May 10, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Karol Gansor and Mary Gansor (Gazda); her husband Felix K. Mekal; her sons, Ronald J. Mekal, Kenneth M. Mekal and David F. Mekal; her son-in-law Jesse L. Edgin; her siblings, John Gansor (Beverly), Jennie Bernat (Stanley) and Celia Gonet (Edward); and her sister-in-law Joan Mekal.
She is survived by: her great grandchild Chantel Williams of Spokane, WA; her siblings-in-law, Edmund Mekal of West Springfield and Veronica Robison (James) of Maine; and her cousin Nellie Przybylowicz. She is also survived by grandchildren, 13 additional great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Springfield Unit, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
