He was predeceased by: his daughter Mary; and his parents, Julia Maunsell (Heffernan) and Michael Maunsell. He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth FitzGerald (Arthur), Kieran "Bob" Maunsell (Natasha), Julie Vona (David), Gerald Maunsell and Patrick Maunsell; his grandchildren, Kiera Maunsell, Padraig, Katherine Vona and Maribeth FitzGerald; and his wife Bridie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
