He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucy (Shumak) and John F. Ponton, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Cecile Ponton (Croteau); his daughters, Gina Shulten and Mary Nordstrom; his grandchildren, Brianna, Karissa and Eric Nordstrom; his brother Douglas Ponton; and his niece Katelyn Ponton.
