Warren Thomas Howard Jr. Obituary

Warren Thomas Howard Jr. ("Buzz") passed away peacefully at the age of 63 on April 8, 2025, at his winter home in Bonita Springs, FL. Born on July 31, 1961, Buzz grew up in in Saugus, MA and lived most recently in Gloucester, MA. Buzz's life was taken unexpectedly after a long battle with Huntington's Disease, a fatal, genetic neurodegenerative disorder. He was a man who brought light to every room he entered, Buzz will be remembered for his joyful energy, endless positivity, and an unwavering passion for New England sports, particularly his beloved Boston Bruins.

Buzz's journey began at Malden Catholic High School, where he was a proud member of the hockey team. His passion for the sport carried him through Southern New Hampshire University, where he not only earned a B.S. in Marketing but also was part of the university's varsity hockey team. Buzz's dedication on and off the ice was a reflection of his indomitable spirit and love for teamwork. His athletic drive was infectious, and he played the sport he loved until he could no longer skate.

In 1984, Buzz married the love of his life, Laura (Dennis) Howard. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love and laughter, raising two wonderful daughters, Nicole and Paige. Buzz was a doting father, always putting his family first, and his compassion extended beyond his immediate circle, impacting everyone he met.

Professionally, Buzz enjoyed a successful career as an account executive, particularly cherishing his time at Vicor, where he excelled in the high-tech industry. His colleagues remember him as a dedicated professional whose enthusiasm was contagious. Outside of work, Buzz was an avid runner, a food enthusiast, and enjoyed long sunny days at Good Harbor Beach with family and friends.

Buzz's battle with Huntington's Disease was met with the same courage, strength, and grace that defined his life – pushing himself when others would have given up. The family would like to thank all the wonderful caregivers and medical teams that helped make this journey easier.

Buzz leaves behind his beloved wife, Laura of 40 years, as well as his daughter, Paige (Howard) Durant and husband Joseph Durant of Dover, NH. He was predeceased by the devastating loss of his daughter, Nicole Howard on November 25, 2015, his parents, Warren Howard Sr. and Florence Howard of Saugus, MA, and sister, Nancy (Howard) Casperson of Winchendon, MA. He leaves behind siblings, Dianne Howard of Solon, ME, Kathleen Scandura and husband Thomas of North Reading, MA, brother-in-law, Jim Casperson of Winchendon, MA, several loving nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Lucy.
