Sharon A. Porter Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sharon A. Porter, 77, of Gloucester on February 4, 2025. Sharon was a lifelong resident of Gloucester born on January 2, 1948, to George & Edna Cabral.
She spent most of her life working as a fish packer at different seafood companies including Mass Coastal & Seafood Kitchens and then later worked at Rule. Outside of work she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and crocheting. She also enjoyed shopping and the occasional trip to a casino.
She is survived by her son Elliott Morris and his wife Julie, Kelly Tocco and her husband Frank. 3 grandchildren Cody, Nicole & Justin Tocco. Also, her brother Walter Cabral & his partner Gayla Decoste. Her sister Paulline Santapaola and her husband James. Her brother Gary Cabral and his wife Tina. And her brother-in-law Dana Brown. Also, many nieces & nephews.
Sharon will be remembered for her great sense of humor and generosity. She did not have much to give but loved buying for others, especially at Christmas time for her grandkids who she adored.
Sharon is predeceased by her parents George & Edna Cabral. Her husband William Porter. Her brothers George, Albert & David Cabral, and her sisters Catherine Cabral & Edith Brown.
Visiting hours will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester, on Friday, February 14, 2025, from 9-11AM. Service to follow at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army.
