Rosemarie Markuson Obituary

Rosemarie (Interrante) Markuson, 71, of Gloucester, wife of the late Mark Markuson passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the Ledgewood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Beverly MA.

She was born in Gloucester, MA on February 17, 1953, daughter of the late James and Mary (Favazza) Interrante.

Ro was a life-long Gloucester resident. She was a graduate of Gloucester High School, Class of 1971. She worked for the Strong Leather Company for many years and was married to Mark for 45 years.

Ro was a strong woman who battled through various health issues over the years. She cherished her time with her family, and her greatest joy was being a devoted mom to her son. Ro was an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Rosemarie is survived by her loving son, Benjamin Markuson; sister, Annette Murray (Dean); brothers, Buddy Interrante (Carmen) and Jim Interrante; sisters-in-law, Christine Willis, and Mary Jane Rix (Jon); and other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and close cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Benny Interrante.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the Ledgewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Staff for their kindness and care.

Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated in St. Ann's Church, Holy Family Parish on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
