Rosalie A. Randazza Obituary
Rosalie A. (Mineo) Randazza passed away unexpectedly, at 90 years old, on June 12th from a fall. Her family surrounded her to say goodbye before she passed to meet the love of her life and husband of 61 years, Captain John W. "Johnny Boy" Randazza.
Rosalie was born on August 23, 1931, in Trapani, Sicily to Antonina (Spina) and Alfonso Mineo. She graduated from Gloucester High School in 1950 and worked at Kresis where she met her husband soon after. Together they raised their five children in the East Gloucester home they built, and she worked at Gloucester Marine Railways as a bookkeeper until she retired.
She and John spent retirement winters staying active in the Village Royale in Boynton Beach, Florida. She was also a lifetime member of the "Mother of Grace Club" and the "Madonna Del Rosario".
She never met a stranger, loved meeting new people, and staying connected with friends at the Senior Center. She was a friendly, but competitive card player, and took pride in sewing many of her childrens' clothes from formal gowns to Halloween costumes. She was rarely found without a knitting project nearby, often gifting her final pieces to friends and family as a true symbol of her friendship. If you were one of the family, you received her most complicated project – an ornate Christmas stocking with your name stitched at the top.
Family and friends, living and lost, were the center of her world. She is survived by her sister Adriana Parisi, brother Ralph and wife Donna Mineo, sisters-in-law Loretta Mineo, Ruth Mineo, and Nina Frontiero; children Ann-Marie Randazza, Anthony Randazza and wife Beverly, Annette and wife Lori Anthony, Deborah and husband Anthony Frontiero, and daughter-in-law.
Lauren Antia. Also leaving behind her pride and joys, her eight grandchildren, Shawn.
