Robert G. Martin Obituary

Planted in memory of Robert G. Martin Robert G. Martin Obituary Robert G. Martin, 83, of Gloucester, husband of Sandra J. (Capillo) Martin passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, May 24, 2024.

He was born in Gloucester, MA, son of the late Manuel A. and Mary V. (Curran) Martin.

Robert was educated in the Gloucester school system and at the age of 17 went into the National Guard.

He worked for many years at Gloucester Engineering as a machinist. He also loved to play golf, traveling to Hawaii and St.

Martin and his younger years enjoyed playing tennis and even did a little jogging.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Robert is survived by his wife, Sandra J. Martin; daughter, Pamela Martin; brother, Paul Martin, and his wife Mary; sisters-in-law, Florence Martin, and Patricia Roberts; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother, Ralph Martin Sr. and brother-in-law, Wayne Roberts.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Good Voyage Church, 142 Prospect Street, Gloucester on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 12 noon. A visitation will precede the Mass in church from 11am to 12noon. The burial will be private.
