Peter P. Lovasco Obituary

Peter P. Lovasco, 77 of Gloucester, husband of Sharon L. (Mansfield) passed away peacefully on February 22, 2023, at the Kaplan House in Danvers after an extended stay at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Peter's final days were surrounded with family and his lifelong friends.

Peter was born on January 4, 1946, to the late Sebastiano Lovasco and Grace Lovasco (Brancaleone).

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Sharon, daughter Melissa Lovasco of West Palm Beach, FL, son Jeffrey Lovasco of Jupiter, FL. He is also survived his older brother Sebastian of Las Vegas, and sister-in-law Pamela Mansfield Loomis and her husband Rick Loomis, in addition to many nieces and nephews.

He attended St. Ann's Church and Gloucester High School. Peter worked at Gorton's as a supervisor for over 30 years. He also owned his own painting business.

Peter and Sharon enjoyed spending time at their second home Bonita Spring, FL.

Peter was a lifelong member at the Elks Club. He was a member at Bass Rocks and St. Peters Club for many years and then at Spring Run Golf Course in Florida. He was an avid golfer and loved playing with his wife and many friends.

He was preceded by his father Sebastiano Lovasco, Mother Grace, brothers Antonio and Salvatore, sisters Mary and Catherine.

Per Peter's request he is asking friends and family to gather at the St. Paul Lutheran Church on 1123 Washington St, Gloucester on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at 11:00 am for a special service.
