Pauline F. Scola Obituary
Pauline F. Scola died on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Pauline was born October 20th, 1961, in Gloucester, MA to John B. Scola and Kathleen P. (Palazzola) Scola. Pauline attended Gloucester High School and was a member of the Pep Club. She went on to work at various jobs which included Cyrk, Gorton's, and Matheson Gas.
Pauline's favorite past times were attending her nieces' sporting events. Pauline relished her time with her brother and sisters, nieces and grandnephews, thoroughly enjoyed the backyard swimming pool, attending family parties, cookouts, and playing cards with her cousins, Andrea, AnnMarie and Kathy once a week. Pauline had a knack for finding bargains and loved shopping. She always went the extra mile for holidays or any special occasions. She enjoyed watching sports, especially the Patriots, Red Sox and Bruins and all the family Super Bowl Parties. She loved helping her mother and sister baking holiday favorites, Pignolata and Sicilian Fig cookies for Christmas and Pupo-Conluvo Easter cookies.
Pauline is survived by her mother, Kathleen P. Scola, whom she lived with for 62 years; her three siblings, brother, John B. Scola Jr. and wife Vincie Scola, sister, Annalee Aiello and husband Mike Aiello, sister, Lisa Curcuru and husband Sean Curcuru. Pauline enjoyed the affection of her five nieces, Kathleen A. Pierce, Geraldine M. Mazzeo and husband Keith Mazzeo, Alexis G. Palazzolo, Kaylee A. Curcuru, and Julianna R. Curcuru and her four great-nephews, Trent and Alec Pierce, Jack and Charlie Mazzeo, all of Gloucester.
Pauline was loved by many aunts, uncles and cousins, especially aunt, Lia Scola and Francis Cavanaugh (Palazzola) and Josie Palazzola; cousins, Chris A. Palazzola and wife Phyllis Palazzola, cousin, Rosanne Wayernen of Rockport, cousins, Ann and Anna Palazzola and longtime friend, Mary Ellen Burnham.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Ann' Church, Holy Family Parish on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 12noon. A visitation will be held prior to the Mass in St. Ann's Church from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester.
