Patricia J. Parisi Obituary

Patricia J. "Patti" (Tarr) Parisi, 82, beloved wife of Paul S. Parisi of Gloucester passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, MA. She was born in Gloucester, MA on March 11, 1942, daughter of the late Arthur C. and B. Lucille (Meuse) Tarr.

Patricia was a graduate of Gloucester High School, Class of 1960 and attended the Addison Gilbert School of Nursing where she earned her LPN Certification. She practiced primarily geriatric nursing and spent most of her career working for Oakwood Nursing Home in Manchester and Addison Gilbert Hospital. Patricia married the love of her life, Paul, in 1963 and they went on to enjoy 61 years of marriage together.

An avid reader, Patricia loved researching her genealogy and learning about local history. She was a member of the Cape Ann Chapter of the Daughters of The American Revolution and was proud to be a direct descendant of the first settlers of Sandy Bay (Rockport).

Patricia was a consummate caregiver at work and at home, often putting others' needs before her own. She supported her husband during their first year of marriage while he finished college; she was a true friend, a beloved aunt and a devoted mother who was always there to lend support, encouragement and understanding. Patricia's favorite place to spend time was at Good Harbor Beach where she taught many of her nieces, nephews, and children of family friends how to swim.

Along with her husband Paul, Patricia leaves behind her children, Scott Parisi, Cynthia Perry & husband John Dana, Paul Parisi, Jr. & wife Jennie; her grandchildren who adored her, Noelle Perry, Caleb Perry, Grace Parisi and Faith Parisi. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she cherished. Patricia also leaves behind special friends, Doreen Spinola, Janice Hurst, Nancy Santos and Gayle Carus.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her infant son, Stephen; in-laws, Frances (Randazza) and Philip "Scotty" Parisi; sisters, Pamela Schwartz and her husband Lloyd Schwartz, Paula Bolcome wife of Alfred Bolcome; sister-in-law, Nina and her husband Jack Giacalone.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 21, at 12:30 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery followed by a reception. Extended family and friends are cordially invited to attend.
