Patricia A. Graham Obituary
Patricia (Fitzgerald) Graham, 90, of Gloucester, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, November 10, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (McCarthy) Fitzgerald.
Pat graduated from North Adams State Teachers College, and, while an elementary schoolteacher in Gloucester, met her future husband, Bob, at Good Harbor Beach. Having lived in numerous places while growing up, she was thrilled to settle in Wenham where she and Bob spent many happy years raising their family and opening their home to all visitors. They later moved to Gloucester where they had first met.
In Wenham, she was a founding member of the Wenham Democratic Town Committee, an avid volunteer and substitute teacher, but foremost was her devotion to her children, reflected in her presence at sporting events, horse shows, and performances. This love of family was apparent every day, each grandchild was special to her, and she was always eager to hear their latest news. The recent addition of her great granddaughter brought her so much joy. In the past few years, she enjoyed planning and hosting luncheons with her family and friends where they shared many laughs and memories.
She is survived by her children, Susan Graham Winslow of Gloucester, Karen (Graham) Woodes and her husband Gregg of Derry, NH, Trish (Graham) Smith and her husband Jerry of Georgetown, MA, Robert Graham, and Natta Sukumalanon of Thailand; 9 grandchildren, Lexie and Sam Winslow, Keelie Winslow Rogers and her husband Joe, Rebecca and Cassie Woodes, Skyler and Keegan Smith, Cammie, and Caroline Foley; her great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Rogers. She also leaves her loving sister, Peggy Skinner of Melrose, many nieces, and nephews.
Pat was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Robert Graham; her beloved daughter, Pamela Graham Foley, and son-in-law, Scott Winslow.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral services. A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date, and the burial will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to Senior Care, 49 Blackburn Center, Gloucester MA 01930 or to a charity of your choice.
Arrangements by the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester.
