Maureen E. Cusumano Obituary

Maureen E. (Devlin) Cusumano, 68, of Gloucester, wife of Angelo, passed away peacefully following an 11 year battle with cancer on Palm Sunday, March 24th, 2024.

Maureen was born in Gloucester to Barbara (Fisher) and the late Edward Devlin. She graduated from Gloucester High School, retired from Gorton's in 2009 after more than 30 years and was a member of the Our Lady's Guild.

Maureen was a woman of deep faith, who flew to Assisi, Italy twice to visit St Francis Basilica, which she loved. She also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, collecting Precious Moments and country music but her greatest passion in life was her family. She loved traveling with them (N.H., Disney, Canada, North Carolina), watching dance recitals, baseball, football and hockey games. First with her children and then with her grandchildren. Even while homebound during her treatments, she never missed watching her grandchildren's games on her computer or tv. "Nana" was their biggest fan.

Maureen's unending love and support for her family will truly be her legacy and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to being survived by her husband of 45 years and her mother, Maureen leaves behind her sons, Phil Devlin (Tara), Anthony Cusumano (Jessica) and her daughter, Lisa Gray (Cliff), her brothers, Edward Devlin, Robert Devlin (Ann Marie) and Michael Devlin (Cathy), brother in-law, Jerome Cusumano (Sandra), her grandchildren, Haley, Lucas, Arriana, Bethanie, Wyatt, Cameron, Kaydin, Nicholas, Nolan and one very special great grandson, Asher who brought her much joy over the last two years as well as many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

She was predeceased by her father, her beloved brother, Richard Devlin and her best girl, "Kristy".

Maureen will be laid to rest in a private family service.

Donations can be made in her name to Our Lady of Good Voyage Church, 142 Prospect Street, Gloucester, as per her wishes. Arrangements by the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester.

Keep Maureen's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
