Mary E. Degnan Obituary
Mary E. (Azevedo) Degnan, 87, of Gloucester, wife of the late Francis P. Degnan, passed away in the Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on March 26, 2023.
Mary was born in Gloucester, MA on March 22, 1936, and was the daughter of the late Everett and Mary (Fosberry) Azevedo.
Mary grew up in Gloucester and graduated from Gloucester High School with the Class of 1954. She enjoyed reading and sewing. She always loved family activities and annual vacations in New Hampshire.
She is survived by her daughter Cathy Malin and her husband Frank of Old Saybrook CT, son Andrew of Gloucester, grandsons Patrick and Christopher Malin, sisters Carol Parsons, Margaret Harvey, Sally Tarr, nieces, nephews and so many special friends.
Her visiting hours will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St. Gloucester, MA on Wednesday, March 29 from 5-7 p.m. Family and friends are cordially invited. Her mass will be celebrated at St. Ann's church on Thursday, March 30 at 10 a.m. followed by her burial in Seaside Cemetery in the Lanesville section of Gloucester. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to: Senior Care Nutrition Programs.
