She was predeceased by: her mother Hester G. Cook (Swift); her husband Richard C. Melanson; her former husband Edward A. Alexander; and her stepson Richard C. Melanson Jr.. She is survived by: her stepchildren, Marcia Melanson (Guilford Dube) of Groton and David Melanson (Janet Melanson) of Berthoud, Colorado.. She is also survived by seven step grandchildren and six step greatgrandchildren.
