She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Weisgerber and Fern Weisgerber (Fosnaught); her sister Carolyn Mueller; and her husband Fred Downing. She is survived by: her sister Ann Hetzel; her children, Matthew Downing (Sarah) of Middleton, Kara Morrissey (Paul) of Melrose and Kristen Liteplo (Mark) of Reading; and her grandchildren, Matthew, Carolyn, Jack, Andrew, Maya, Maura and Michael.
