Leonardo Frisella Obituary

Leonardo Na Ná Frisella, 85, of Gloucester passed away suddenly on Monday, January 23, 2023, at the Addison Gilbert Hospital.

He was born in Palermo, Sicily, Italy on May 9, 1937, son of the late Vincenzo and Maria (Locascio) Frisella.

Leo's love was for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had a great passion for gardening, singing, dancing but most of all wine making. He also enjoyed playing cards.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Leo is survived by daughter, Maria Cannavo and her husband Antonino, son, Salvatore Frisella and his wife Maryann, daughter, Paula Pitcher, and her husband Stephen; grandchildren, Peter Cannavo and his wife Kayla, Leo Cannavo and his wife Amy, Daniel Cannavo and his girlfriend, Ciara, Leo Frisella and fiance' Kaitlyn, Giovanna Frisella, Ida Shaker, and Jacob Pitcher; great-grandchildren, Antonio Cannavo, Savino Cannavo, Giuliana Cannavo and Isabel Williams.

He was predeceased his wife of 47 years, Giovanna (Ciaramitaro) Frisella and many of siblings in Italy.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Ann's Church, Holy Family Parish on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. The burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester.

A Visitation will be held prior to the Mass in St. Ann's Church from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
