He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary C. Loving (Day) and John J. Murphy Jr. Loving; his brother John J. "Jackie" Murphy III (Kate) of Billerica; and his uncles, James Day of Danvers and John Day of Woburn.
He is survived by: his siblings, James H. Murphy of Gloucester, William P. Murphy (Sharon) of Woburn and Mary C. Hanson (Peter) of Woburn. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
