Kathleen M. Remeika Obituary
Kathleen M. "Kathy" (Rogers) Remeika, 75, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2022. She has now been reunited with her beloved husband John and parents Leonard A. and Elizabeth H. Rogers.
Born on February 16, 1947, in Gloucester, she graduated from Gloucester High School in 1965 and she then went to hairdressing school and worked as a hairdresser until she started her family. As a single mom for many years, she did everything she could to provide for her daughters. She always found a way to give them everything they needed. When John came into her life it was a blessing for her and her daughters. John's children, Michael and Linda became part of the family. Her years with John were her happiest.
Kathy had a passion for her yard. Spring, summer, and fall, you would see her on the riding mower tirelessly maintaining the lawn. When spring arrived, her rock garden, which she started with her husband John, was in full bloom. The phlox cascading in color. The beauty brought her great joy and happiness.
She is survived by her daughters, who were by her side throughout her illness, Kimberly E. (Cooney) Frontiero, Kelly M. (Cooney) Stanton and her husband Glenn; stepchildren, Michael Remeika and his husband Daniel Middleton-Remeika, Linda Strong and her husband Erik; grandchildren, Paige (Stanton) Orent and her husband Cody, Ashley Stanton, Joshua Gove, Brandon and Cassandra Strong; great-grandchildren, Felicity Orent and Riley Gove; sisters, Patricia Bertolino and her husband Anthony, Maureen Murray and her late husband Stephen; brother-in-law, William Remeika and his wife Rose; aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her mother-in-law, Alfreda Remeika.
Her. Graveside Service will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester on Friday, June 24, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. There will be no visiting hours.
