Josephine A. Galante Obituary

Josephine A. "Dolly" (Pallazola) Galante, 79, wife of Paul F. Galante of Gloucester passed on Tuesday night, January 21, 2025, at Beverly Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Gloucester, on Feb. 24, 1945, daughter of the late Anthony and Anna,(Orlando) Pallazola.

Dolly was a long-time resident of Gloucester. She worked at Mighty Mac Manufacturing for many years. After becoming a wife and mother, she stopped working and dedicated her life to her husband and children. When her children were grown, she worked for many years at Empire Clothing.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She loved having her family over for dinner and especially the holidays. She was deeply loved by all her family, friends and her 3 little dogs which she spoiled with treats.

Dolly is survived by her devoted husband, Paul; daughter, MaryJo Lamphier of Gloucester; two sons, Paul and his wife Olivia of Danvers, and Michael and his girlfriend, Liz of Danvers; 3 granddaughters, Melissa Acquaviva and her husband Jon of Beverly, Jessica Palazola and Jennifer Palazola both of Gloucester; her sister, Marie Giacalone and husband Joe of Gloucester; her brother, Anthony Pallazola of Gloucester; sister-in-law, Josie Pallazola of Gloucester and many nieces, nephews and cousins, She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Pallazola.

Her. Graveside Service will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or to Cape Ann Animal Aid Association, 4 Paws Lane, Gloucester, MA 01930.
