Joseph Luis DeSousa Jr. Obituary

Joseph "Joey" Luis DeSousa Jr., age 39, of Gloucester Massachusetts, unexpectedly passed of natural causes on Friday, March 3, 2023.

Joey was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on April 29, 1983, to Joseph Luis DeSousa Sr. and Esmeralda Marie DeSousa. Sadly, Joey left behind both his parents; two brothers, Mark, and Kevin; his wife Jennifer; his two sons, Cole, and Mason; his stepson, Julio; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Joey's personality was larger than life. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He always put others before himself. He always made sure to call and check on his mother. He was kind, caring, loving, and lovable.

To honor Joey, we will be having a Mass for him at St. Anthony's of Padua Catholic Church, 400 Cardinal Medeiros Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02141 at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2023, immediately followed by a Celebration of Life in the church hall. All who knew Joey are invited to come celebrate.
