Joseph A. Haskins Obituary

Joseph A Haskins, 49, passed away unexpectedly on August 11, 2024. Joe grew up in North Adams, MA and later made a home in Gloucester, MA where he spent many years with his loving wife and family. Joe was a proud veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, serving his country with honor, respect and devotion to duty. Most recently, he worked for the town of Georgetown highway department, where he was respected and valued for his hard work.

Joe developed his love for hunting and ice fishing at an early age with his Uncle Steve. This connection to the outdoors, fostered in his youth, likely fueled his lifelong passion for nature, which he expressed through photography, creating artwork, crafting, and making delicious desserts that brought joy to family and friends.

Above all, he cherished the time spent with his beloved grandson Ryan, sharing countless moments of laughter, love, and adventure. The bond they shared was truly special, and brought immense joy into his life.

He will be remembered for his sense of humor, kindness, creativity, and the love he shared with family and friends.

Predeceased by his father Lawrence Haskins; Joe is survived by his devoted wife, Grace (Napoli) Haskins;. His stepchildren, Jennifer (Napoli) Porter and husband Billy Porter, Filippo Napoli, Carolina Napoli and grandson, Ryan Porter;. His uncle, Steve Haskins and his partner Nicki Renaud; brother, John Haskins; and many cousins, family members and friends that he cherished.

Though you are no longer with us, your spirit lives on in the rustling leaves and the whisper of the wind. You will be dearly missed, but your love for nature will always remind us of you.Services will be held privately. In honor of Joe's memory, the family kindly requests to omit sending flowers, contributions may be made to the family and will be donated to the charities of their choosing.
