John Polizzia Jr. Obituary

John Polizzia Jr., 78, of Gloucester, MA, husband of the late Joyce (Rosa) Polizzia, passed away in the Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Sunday, March 19, 2023. John was born in Gloucester, MA on April 17, 1944, and was the son of the late John Sr. and Anna M. (Frontiero) Polizzia.

John enjoyed watching sports, visiting the casinos, his morning trip to Dunkin's, and sitting down the boulevard. He was also a good guitar player. He served proudly in the Navy during the Vietnam war.

He is survived by his son Brian Polizzia; his brother Paul Polizzia and his wife Donna; his brother-in-law Al Brown and family; niece Grace M. Ciaramitaro and her husband Mike, and Roseanna Mattson and her husband John as well as many loving nieces and nephews whom he loved.

He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Joyce, stepmother Elizabeth Polizzia; siblings and in-laws, Santa and William Parisi, Virginia and Tony Frontiero, Laura and Frank Orlando, Joseph and Nancy Polizzia, Rosalie Polizzia and Joyce's sister Fran Brown.

In keeping with John's wishes, his services will be held privately. Arrangements are by the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St. Gloucester.
