Jennifer A. Amero Obituary

Jennifer Alicia Goulart Amero, born September 11, 1974, to Jerome and Patricia (O'Leary) Goulart. Jennifer came into this world with a flourish, being weeks late, which carried through to the rest of her life, as she was never on time for anything. She preferred the fashionably late entrance. She was full of life and had a flair for it. She was larger than life, the life of the party, and had a heart as big as our island.

Coming home from kindergarten one day she announced in all her dramatic fashion "Mama, everywhere I go, all I hear is Paris". She was 5 years old.

Her loving soul expanded when she married the love of her life, Ryan Amero and then brought into this world their child Valentine. She was a dog mom to two puppies, Maggie and Delila.

Jennifer loved to travel and spent as much time as she could seeing other places, planning trips, and organizing escapes for others. Her creativity came through in everything she did, her sense of fashion, love of art, and home décor. She and Ryan spent many hours painting, framing pictures, and decorating their home.

Jen was always willing to lend a helping hand, work for any charitable cause and help to get others involved. Even in her last days despite her illness, she worked tirelessly with Cape Ann Giving Elves to make sure other families had a wonderful Christmas.

She leaves her husband of 20 years Ryan, her child Valentine; parents Jerry and Pattie Goulart; In-laws David and Maryanne Amero; sisters Kristen Nicastro, Jillian Amero, and their husbands Joe and Devon; beloved nieces and nephews Zachary, Dominic, Charlie, Adeline, and Freja; special cousins Jodi, Lauren, and Meghan and many aunts, uncles, and cousins whom she loved dearly. Her friends meant the world to her and many of them she had since elementary school.
She was predeceased by her extraordinary grandmother Electric Emma Powers, Julia "sis" Goulart, Julia Amero, Madeline Goulart; grandfathers Charles O'Leary, Jerome Goulart, and Willis Powers. She was also predeceased by her beloved rottweiler Hunter (Hunter face) with whom she had an undying bond.
In accordance with her wishes, graveside services will be private.

A celebration of life will be held in a few months when the weather gets warmer. As we all know she was a girl of summer. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to two of her favorite charities: St. Jude's Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101 or, Shriner's Hospital for Children, 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607. Arrangements are by the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St. Gloucester.
