Jennie J. MacKinnon Obituary
Jennie J. (Curcuru) MacKinnon, 82, wife of the late George V. MacKinnon of Gloucester passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024, at Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
She was born in Gloucester, MA on March 19, 1942, daughter of the late Joseph and Angela (Nicastro) Curcuru.
Jennie was a graduate of St. Ann's High School. She worked for O'Donnell Usen, LePage's and later retired from Rule Industries.
She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, going to the beach but most of all trips to the casinos, scratching tickets, and playing bingo at the Senior Center with her friends.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Jennie is survived by 2 sons, Gary Glidden and his wife Jodie, Brian Glidden and his wife Jill; grandchildren, Keri Glidden, Kristy Glidden, Taylor Glidden, Haley Glidden, Jessie Glidden, Kaylee O'Neil; great-grandchildren, Adelyn Glidden and Gianni Remy; sisters, Rosalie Genovese, Phillippena Souza, Grace Favalora; brothers, Joseph Curcuru and his wife Grace, Benny Curcuru and his wife Debbie, Anthony Curcuru and his wife Jean; sisters-in-law, Jennie (Aiello) Curcuru, Beverly (Marchant) Curcuru and Joyce Curcuru.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Sammy Curcuru, and his wife Antoinetta (Claire), Philip Curcuru, John Curcuru, Jimmy Curcuru, Philomena Misuraca and her husband Vito, Felicia Aiello, and her husband Anthony; brothers-in-law, Claude Souza, Anthony Genovese, Vito Favaloro and her former husband, Earl T. Glidden.
Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 10 a.m. in St. Ann' Church, Holy Family Parish. A visitation will be held prior to the Mass in church from 9 to 10am. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
