She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Clifford and Ruth Clifford (Anderson); her grandson Jared Smith; her great grandchild Peter Michael Smith, Jr.; and her sister Joan Allen.

She is survived by: her husband Peter Smith; her daughter Jill Smith; her stepdaughter Kathlyn Smith; her grandson Peter Michael Smith; and her sisters, Linda Hobbs and Ellen Nickerson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
