Grazia Ciolino Obituary
Grazia (Bologna) Ciolino, 89, of Gloucester, wife of the late Salvatore Ciolino of 36 years, passed away at Oceanside Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Rockport on Monday, October 24, 2022. Grazia was born in Terrasini, Sicily on April 18, 1933, and was the daughter of the late Sebastiano and Giovanna Bologna.
She enjoyed cooking for family gatherings, playing cards with her friends, attending Bingo and Lucky 7. She loved to travel to California and Italy to visit her family, but most of all, her passion was to sew. She would make aprons for everyone to have.
She is survived by her children, Giuseppe Ciolino and his wife Giuseppina; Sebastiano Ciolino; Riccardo Ciolino and his wife Rosalie; Alfonso Ciolino and his wife Cinsia, all of Gloucester; siblings: Salvatore Bologna and his wife Maria of Gloucester, Gaetano Bologna and his wife Maria of San Pedro, CA, Ninfa Tocco and husband Onofrio of Terrasini, Sicily. Rossetta Ventimiglia and husband Salvatore of Terrasini, Sicily, Alfonso Bologna and wife Lorenza of Trappeto, Sicily, Stefana Calorutolo and husband Pasquale of San Pedro, CA, Domenico Bologna and wife Giovanna of San Pedro, CA; grandchildren; Margaret Griffin, Graziella Ferrara and husband Vito, Maryann Aiello and husband Brian, Tiziana Ciolino, Salvatore Ciolino, Grace Marie Genao and husband Juan Pedro, Roseanne Ciolino and Partner Shamon Lewis, Dominic Ciolino and wife Sanna, Sebastiano Ciolino and husband Zachary, Joseph Ciolino, Graziella Cooney and husband Matthew, Salvatore Ciolino, Francesco Ciolino, Alessandro Ciolino; 16 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was greatly cared for by her daughter-in-law Giuseppina Ciolino, for which all her family is very appreciative of.
She was predeceased by her husband Salvatore Ciolino; children, Sebastiano, Domenic, Antonina; parents, Sebastiano and Giovanna Bologna; sister, Rosalia Sapienza and husband Vito; in-laws Giuseppe and Antonina Ciolino; sister-in-law, Grazia Noto and husband Angelo; grandchildren, Salvatore Dominic Ciolino and Michael Ciolino.
Her visiting hours will be held in St. Ann's Church, Holy Family Parish, 60 Prospect St, Gloucester on Friday, October 28 from 4-7 p.m. Family and friends are cordially invited. Mask are required in church please. Her mass will be celebrated in St. Ann's on Saturday, October 29 at 9:30 a.m. followed by her burial in Calvary. Arrangements are by the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St. Gloucester.
