Planted in memory of Giovanni Cusumano Giovanni Cusumano Obituary Giovanni Cusumano, age 70, passed away peacefully at Seacoast Nursing Home after battling an extended illness.
Giovanni was born in Trappetto, Italy on October 12 , 1953. In December of 1967 Giovanni moved from Trapetto, Sicily to Gloucester with his parents and siblings. He later moved back to his hometown of Trappetto with both of his parents until they passed away.
Giovanni moved back to Gloucester to live with his beloved sister Grace (Cusumano) DiMaio and brother-in-law Isidoro DiMaio. His sister Grace would then be his caretaker and be by his side for the rest of his years while battling his illness. Giovanni adored his sister Grace; they had a very close relationship. He will be missed dearly.
Giovanni was survived by his brother Filippo Cusumano; his sister Maria (Cusumano) Randazzo; and his sister Grace (Cusumano) DiMaio and her husband Isidoro DiMaio, all of Gloucester, Massachusetts.
Giovanni was also survived by all his beloved several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, and cousins throughout the US and Europe.
In addition to his parents, Giovanni was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Maria (Manzella) Cusumano and his brother-in-law, Marco Randazzo.
A Mass will be celebrated at St. Ann's Church on Monday, May 6, 2024, at 11a.m. Burial will follow at Dolliver Cemetery in West Gloucester.
