Frances A. Callahan Obituary
Frances A. (Gray) Callahan, 90, of Gloucester, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at her home in Gloucester, MA. She was born in Buffalo, N.Y. on May 5, 1933, daughter of the late Clinton Newman and Norma M. (Stephens) Gray.
Frances graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a bachelor's degree in English, and a teacher's certificate from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Frances worked as a secretary for Child Development in Gloucester for many years.
Frances loved swimming, sail boating and taking long walks through the woods with her dog, later in life she loved the family camping trips and reading. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Frances is the wife of the late Raymond G. Callahan and is survived by a daughter Catherine Silveira and her husband Henry, sons; William Callahan and his partner Anna French, Thomas Callahan and his wife Myriam; 9 grandchildren, Tony G. Favalora and his wife Amanda, Dawn Marie Favalora, Whitney Jean Callahan, Marleigh Callahan, Benjamin Callahan, Geoffrey Callahan, Eric Craaybeek and his wife Kimberly, Dylan Craaybeek and Meghan Craaybeek, 3 great-grandchildren, Phoenix G. Favalora, Caiden Gray Taormina and Natalie Jean Craaybeek, and many other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond G. Callahan and daughter Barbara Jean Craaybeek.
