Cecilia G. Rose Obituary
Cecilia Rose, 89, of Gloucester, MA passed away peacefully on Friday, March 21, 2025, in Beverly hospital.
Cecilia was born January 23, 1936, on the Azore Islands of Portugal. In her teen years she migrated to Gloucester, MA where she met her husband, Arthur Rose, and married October 29, 1960, at Our Lady of Good Voyage. Their love was unwavering through 58 years of joyful marriage before his passing in 2018.
Cecilia especially loved baking sweet bread on holidays and caring for her grandchildren. She was one of the most positive and beautiful people who could naturally find the good in any situation. No matter how bad or dark things got, she would always find that light. Cecilia had so much love for everyone she met and her excitement to see people would just fill the room. She had a sense of humor that surfaced at the most unexpected moments and always gave her family a good laugh.
Cecilia brought so much joy and love to her family and showed them what unconditional love truly means. You blessed every soul you had encountered throughout your life. Your energy and love will always blanket your family and the ones you cared for. Cecilia undoubtedly helped raise the vibration of this world.
Go be with Grampy and continue enjoying eternity together.
She is survived by her children Mary C (Rose) Martin and Arthur K. Rose Jr.; grandchildren, Jason Poole, Keith Poole and his wife Melanie and their children (Tyler, Taila, Chloe, Keagan and Ethan), Nicholas Rao, Rachel Rao and her wife Jillian and their children (Quincy, Elijah and Naveah), and the last of the grandchildren, Jamie Rao.
