Bonnie L. Johnson Obituary

Bonnie L. (Sweet) Johnson, age 72, of Gloucester, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 28, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Homer and Cora (Seavey) Sweet.

Born in Gloucester, Bonnie attended Rockport High Class of 1969. Bonnie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a passionate gardener and avid knitter. She attended many craft fairs over the years. She was known for her handmade owl sweaters. She also made clothing for American Girl dolls that she consigned to stores in New York. She always enjoyed spending time with her family. During the holidays you could find Bonnie in the kitchen baking cookies and brownies for her children and grandchildren to enjoy.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 52 years, Carl E. Johnson; and her sons, Chris and his fiancée Shannon Grover, and Carl O., husband of Laura Wood. She had 8 beloved grandchildren. She was an aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers Homer Jr., John, George, and Ralph, and her sister Carol.

There will be no public services as per her final wishes.
