Arthur J. Manos Obituary

Arthur J. "Archie" Manos, 89, of Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA husband of Marilyn L. (Day) Manos passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022, at Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born in Beverly, MA on November 23, 1932, son of the Arthur and Anita (Muccioli) Manos. Archie was a graduate of Beverly Co-Op and Trade School and later attended Northeastern University. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.

He worked for United Shoe Machinery Corporation as a mechanical engineer from 1952-1987, then it changed hand to Black & Decker from 1987-1992 transferring to the engineering department before retiring in 1992, then became a consultant for Dynapert until 1997. All while working, he traveled extensively all over the world representing the company. Arthur was a devout member of Sacred Heart Church, now Visitation Parish in Manchester, the Manchester American Legion, and the Knight of Columbus.

In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, fishing, the ocean and all that it has to offer. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Arthur is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marilyn L. (Day) Manos; his daughter, Julie Manos; 2 sons, Jeffrey Manos and his partner Bonnie Lizotte, Jon Manos, and his wife Mayra; his beloved granddaughter, Jenna Manos Cirella; his brother, Paul Manos, and his wife Cyndie; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Visitation Parish, Sacred Heart Church, Manchester on Monday, July 18, 2022, at 9:30 a.m. Relative and friends are cordially invited to attend. The burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Manchester.
