Ann P. Mitchell Obituary

Ann P. (Conigliari) Mitchell, 57 of Gloucester wife of the late Paul B. Mitchell passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 5, 2022, at her residence.

She was born in Gloucester, MA on April 22, 1965, daughter of the late Victor and Ann (DiModica) Conigliari.

Ann was a graduate of Rockport High School, Class of 1983 and later received her bachelor's degree in economics from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida after a senior year internship working on Wall Street.

After graduating college, she worked for many years as a risk management analyst for Deutsche Bank and Bank of America prior to retirement.

Ann was an avid golfer growing up playing Rockport Golf Club and was recruited by many colleges to play college golf. Ann was a member of the Rockport High School golf team being named team captain her senior year and competed very successfully hearing in later years that the boys she played against were afraid to play that "girl from Rockport". Ann was a multiple time club champion at Rockport winning her first championship as a senior in high school. Ann was most recently a member of Bass Rocks Golf Club and enjoyed playing golf with her late husband Paul, her family members, and the many friends she made in her years at the club. She was at her happiest playing golf with friends and family and loved the ladies group members who were so good to her after losing her husband. She talked about them constantly and couldn't say enough good things about her "family at the club". She always looked forward to playing in the annual Legacy and Fall Fitzgerald golf tournaments with her son Michael. She enjoyed frequently calling her nephew Adam to say, "hey I made us a tee time!"Ann and Paul enjoyed many annual golf trips to Myrtle Beach and Bethel, Maine and looked forward to those trips each and every year.

Ann and Paul were Disney Vacation Club members and enjoyed their annual fall trips to Disney World. She was also an avid member of the Harry Potter Fan Club, and it was a safe bet that if you visited her you would be entertained by a Harry Potter movie playing in the background.

She enjoyed completing many bucket list activities with Paul, her most favorite being a trip to Ireland along with her parents to visit her grandmother's ancestral home. As a lifelong dog lover, she always had a dog by her side and was a rescue dog devotee. She looked forward to being able to end each day curled up with her fur babies Emma and Atticus enjoying the week's Netflix special while playing words with friends.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Ann is survived by her son, Michael Burbank Jr., and his girlfriend Sarah Lambertus; her brother, Anthony Conigliari and his wife Jennifer; nephews, Victor V. Conigliaro IV, Nicholas Conigliaro, Tyler Conigliari and Adam Conigliari; great nephew, Henry; sister-in-law, Dianne Conigliaro along with many lifelong friends and her golf club friends, too many to mention.

She was predeceased by her brother, Victor Conigliaro III.

Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, in St. Joachim's Church, Broadway, Rockport at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her name to Sweet Paws Rescue, 310 Main Street, Groveland, MA 01834.
