Alfred L. Hemeon Obituary

Alfred L. Hemeon, 96, of Gloucester, husband of the late Virginia "Ginny" (Torrey) Hemeon passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the Herrick House in Beverly with family at his bedside.

Born in Gloucester, MA on January 14, 1928, he was the son of the late of Mr. and Mrs. Lenus Poirier of Gloucester. Al was an Army veteran serving in WWII and the Korean Wars.

He is survived by his nieces, Judy Michaud of Beverly, Suzanne and Dr. Yamil Kouri of FL; nephew, Christoher Poirier and his wife Jamie of RI; great-nieces and great-nephews, Brian Michaud, Alissa Pearson, Susana Kouri, Yamil Kouri, Garrett Poirier & Charlotte Poirier.

He was predeceased by his brother, Stanley P. Poirier of Salem.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date.
