With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Velma M. Leger of Gardner, Massachusetts, born in Tignish, Prince Edward Island, who passed away on February 26, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cyril Gaudet and Edna Gaudet (DesRoches); and her siblings, Cyril Gaudet Jr., Barbara Ann Gaudet, Eunice McFadgen, Aldine Bernard, Irene Arsenault and Sandy Janes.
She is survived by: her husband Ronald Leger; her children, Claude J. Leger (Jacqueline) of Gardner, Donna M. Leger of Gardner and Lisa M. Lavalley of Athol; her grandchildren, Jessica, Samantha Comeau, Marc, Kayla Leger, Lori McGrath, Brittany and Justin Lavalley; her great grandchildren, Leah, Hunter, Braycen, Carter, Connor, Camryn and Landon; and her siblings, Austin Gaudet (Velda), Leonard Gaudet (Audrey), Kathleen Doucette (Roy) of Ontario, Austina Doucette of Ontario, Therese Leger (Norman) of Ontario, Shirley Pitre of Ontario, Ann Walsh (Rick) of Ontario, Deborah Chaisson (Henry) of Alberta and Dorene Robichaud (Claude) of New Brunswick Canada. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
