Sophie L. Melanson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 13, 2018, at the age of 92, Sophie L. Melanson (Gardner, Massachusetts) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlo Lore and Lucia Lore (Vinzi); her husband Joseph N. Melanson; and her siblings, Angelina Belanger, Mary Oliva, Lucille Amadon, Dolores Wetmore, Philip Lore, Anthony Lore and Martin Lore.
She is survived by: her children, Christina Monfette of Gardner, Joanna LaPrade (Dean) of Westminster, Philip Melanson (Nancy) of Gardner and Thomas Melanson of Gardner; her siblings, Louise Gallant of Winchendon, Frances Horrigan of Winchendon and Michael Lore of Gardner; and her grandchildren, Zachary Monfette, Ryan Benoit, Joseph LaPrade and Julia LaPrade. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest the memorial donations be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
