He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Skamarycz and Viola Skamarycz (Oblon); his siblings, Robert, Bernie Skamarycz, Frances Arsenault and Joan Wheeler; and his grandson Larry Skamarycz.
He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Skamarycz (Bettez) of Gardner; his children, Larry Skamarycz (Mercedes) of Westminster and Tina Scanlan (Fred Hurd) of Gardner; his stepchildren, Joseph Gibbs (Burl) of Maine, Wendy McCullough of Gardner and Lisa Brooks (Roger) of Hubbardston; his sister Judy Dill (Stanley) of Gardner; and his grandchildren, Amanda Cronin, Shane, Anne, Justin Skamarycz, Jasmine, Lance McCullough, Chad, Justin Adams and Ashley Pavlosky. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
