He was predeceased by: his father Thomas F. Dowd; and his sister Catherine C. Dowd. He is survived by: his daughters, KayLee O. Dowd of Charlotte, NC and Vanessa E. Wood (Joshua) of Mount Holly, NC; his mother Vivian E. Dowd (Tambolleo) of Sterling; his siblings, Thomas F. Dowd, Jr. (Karen) of Holden, Therese Vattes (William) of Bolton and James J. Dowd (Paula Dowd) of Asheville, NC; his grandchildren, London and Joseph Wood; and his nieces and nephews, Nathan Dowd, Lisa Smith, Conor McNally, Hugh McNally and Corrine Dowd. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
