She was predeceased by: her father Donald L. Houghton, Jr.; and her husband Richard N. Piper. She is survived by: her mother Elizabeth M. Houghton (Lucas) of Gardner; her children, Ellen Webb of Hudson and Jonathan Webb of Worcester; her grandchild Layla Webb; her siblings, Janna McPherson (Gardner) of Gardner, Donald Houghton, III of Greenfield and Everett Houghton (Tonya) of Alabama; her stepdaughters, Julia of Westminster and Susan of Texas; and her cousin Besides. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews.
