He was predeceased by: his father David H. Butler; and his brothers, Dennis J. Butler and Jonathan H. Butler. He is survived by: his mother Helen M. Butler (Pappas) of Gardner; his partner Thomas Peters of Chestnut Hill, MA; his brothers, Terrance D. Butler (Laurie) of Torrance California and Andrew P. Butler (Colleen) of Gardner; his aunts, Irene Hill of Spring Valley, CA, Anne Johnson of Somerville, MA and Mary; and his uncle Paul Sylvester of Gardner. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to The David H Butler Memorial Scholarship c/o Mount Wachusett Community College, Gardner MA.
