He was predeceased by: his parents, Elzear Bastarache and Mary Lou Bastarache (Arsenault); and his siblings, Neri, Romeo, Adrian Bastarache, Elise Ann Richard and Angel Cormier.

He is survived by: his children, Donna Bastarache of Gardner, Donald N. Bastarache of Gardner and Dennis G. Bastarache (Donna White) of Sunderland; his grandchildren, Amanda Bastarache (Sonya) of Palmer and Derick Bastarache of Gardner; and his siblings, Jerome Bastarache of Canada, Arthur Bastarache (Cecelia) of Gardner, Maria Cormier of Bouctouche, NB and Regina Premilia Bastarache of Missouri. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
