He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter D. Meany and Doris M. Meany (Hatch); his son Thomas H. Meany; and his sister Beatrice E. Meany. He is survived by: his sons, John W. Meany Jr. (Diane) of Gardner, William J. Meany (Carolyn) of Gardner, Philip A. Meany (Janet Baczewski) of Gardner and David B. Meany (Noreen) of Gardner; his grandchildren, John W. Meany III (Angela), Megan Meany (Esteban Gonzalez), Leah, Serena Meany, Angela Diprima-Boudreau (Douglas) and Derek Gaidanowicz (Michelle Frigon); and his great grandchildren, Sophia, Aubree Meany, Luca, Arlo Gonzalez, Alex Wirth, Emily Diprima, Hunter and Maxwell Giadanowicz. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
