He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucien Hamel and Loretta Hamel (Robichaud); his children, Eric Hamel and Amy Hamel; and his brother Raymond Hamel.
He is survived by: his sisters, Pauline Lepkowski (David) of Gardner and Jeanne Bubnel (Dick) of Gardner; his grandson Ethan John Hamel; his stepgrandchild Zoie Beddall; and his stepgreat-grandchild Jayce. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
