He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerard Descoteaux and Claire Descoteaux; his brothers, Leon, Michael, Paul, David and Mark Descoteaux; and his mother-in-law Madeline Crumley.

He is survived by: his wife Joanne Descoteaux; his daughters, Julie Kennedy and Angela Mallette; his sons-in-law, Aaron Kennedy and Matt Mallette; his siblings, Terry Lombardi and Peter Descoteaux; and his grandchildren, Ashley, Kyle Kennedy, Cameron, Joshua, Benjamin and Logan Mallette. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Ashburnham Fire Department, in memory of Jerry Descoteaux.
