He was predeceased by: his siblings, Raymond Minns, Edward Minns, Charles Minns and Katherine Landry. He is survived by: his parents, Carl "Red" Minns and Florence Minns (Kelley); his wife Beverly M. Minns (Eliason); his children, Karen Minns of Gardner, Ann E. Minns of Otter River, Brenda J. Minns (William Grasmuck) of Otter River, Brian J. Minns of Harwich, MA and Kevin J. Minns of Gardner; his daughter-in-law Laurene Minns of Gardner; his grandchildren, Emily Minns of Gardner, Meredith Minns of Gardner and Erin Minns of Harwich; and his great grandchild Lennon Hadfield of Harwich. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorial donations be made in his memory to the Sisters of Saint Joseph's retirement fund 287 Essex St., Holyoke, MA 01040 or to Holy Family Academy 99 Nichols St., Gardner, MA 01440.
