He was predeceased by: his parent Robert W. Nivala. He is survived by: his parent Jacqueline K. Nivala (Larson); his wife Deborah Jean Nivala (McMilleon) of Gardner; his sons, Nicholas R. Nivala and Patrick S. Nivala of Gardner; and his siblings, Gregg Nivala (Cynthia) of Virginia, Eric Nivala of Gardner and Catherine Nivala.
