She was predeceased by: her parents, Dana Prentiss and Olive Prentiss (Bettez); and her siblings, Daniel, Wayne, Marcus Prentiss and June Faron.

She is survived by: her children, Olivia Was and Anthony Was (Rose); her former husband Stanley Was; her siblings, Lorre Prentiss, Debbie Prentiss-O'Hare and Dana Prentiss Jr.; and her pet Beastie Boy. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, the Shepherd Center in Atlanta GA, or the ASPCA Foundation.
