She was predeceased by: her parents, James A. Stoddard and Carol Stoddard (Gifford); and her brother James. She is survived by: her husband Joseph M. Melanson; her children, Mark Melanson (Rita) of Germany, Patricia Small (Mark) of Douglas and Pamela Cain of Gardner; and her siblings, Robert Stoddard, Carol Boss, Juanita Brown and Jeanne Heppes. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
