He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Edwards and Lena Edwards (Day); his sister Lisa Jill Slemmons; his siblings-in-law, Talmage Higgins, JoAnn Edwards, Leona Edwards and Gail Smith; and his nephew Terry Lee Edwards.
He is survived by: his wife Florence L. Edwards (Milkens); his children, John Charles Edwards of Franklin, Linda Ebbeling (Daniel) of Franklin and Roberta Edwards (MacDuncan Foster) of Tewksbury; his granddaughter Dora Ebbeling; his brothers, Kenneth Edwards, Terry Edwards, Gary Edwards (Deidra) and Charlie Edwards (Sherre); his brother-in-law Tony Slemmons of Erwin, TN; and his sisters, Loretta Higgins (Roger) of Soddy Daisy, TN and Martha Peters (Dennis) of Erwin, TN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
