He was predeceased by: his wife Beth Jean Misner (Swain); his parents, Barney G. and Lillie C. Misner (Bumann); and his siblings, Roy W. Misner, Vera Czerwenka, Harold Misner and Margie Bell.

He is survived by: his son James L. Misner of Oregon; and his stepsons, Larry S. Fox of Utah and Darrel L. Fox of Oregon. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
